Openstreetmap instead Google maps - developments

On the application for android, is it expected in the future the native use of openstreetmap maps, instead of google maps, since outdoor sports activities are often carried out on tracks not present in google maps?

In my opinion, Google is the ideal solution for roads and vehicles. OpenStreetMap for outdoor activities.

You can already use OpenStreetMaps, but only on the web version of Garmin Connect (which works well, though, on phones, too). And if you are asking exclusively about the phone app, then I am afraid nobody…

And if you are asking exclusively about the phone app, then I am afraid nobody on the user forum is able to answer your question. You could try asking the Support, but frankly told I think it would be just wasting of time, because the support person either won't know it either, and even if he did, he would be barely authorized to reveal any future plans of Garmin.
