Another possibility could be taping the watch facing up on your shoulder, under the t-shirt, but it would be then difficult to operate it - you'd probably need the help of your husband to start and stop the activity.
Ok I'll try that! I swear to god I've never ran so many 5ks trying to see will this watch work correctly!!!!
On the data recording, smart or every second? I get the impression from your earlier comments this isn't the issue so smart is best ?
Thanks

It does not matter much. If GPS is working well, the smart recording is sufficient, but better set the Every Second Recording, it is more accurate. And use the GPS+Glonas mode. GPS+Galileo should be better later this year, when all Galileo satellites are fully operational, but it is not yet the case.

You see, finally the watch was motivating you to train more! So it is not as bad as you thought
Ok tks both are set now . Today is a rest day for my feet and my brain ! I'll keep you posted . Tks and have a good day !
So I changed those two settings (date recording every second and GPS glonas ) and my regular 8 mile route recorded 7.62 miles . This is the worst it's been by far .
Could you post a link to the activity again? And did you keep the watch facing the sky all the time, like we suggested? If so, then there is really noting to do, than waiting for your new watch and hoping it will be better.
Check out my running activity on Garmin Connect. #beatyesterday https://connect.garmin.com/modern/activity/4939645313?share_unique_id=25
No didnt face watch to sky as felt too uncomfortable and plus this was a run I wanted to do my HR .
This watch is still under warranty but the level of contact from Garmin customer service is dreadful

Well, in that case the test was completely useless, since the last activity I analized, already was recorded in the Every Second mode, and the Glonas option won't make any significant difference in accuracy. So we did not learn anything new.
What is needed, is really trying to run with the watch facing the sky. If nothing else, keep the forearm rotated so, that the watch faces upwards most of the time. Or attach it on your shoulder and fix it with the bra arm, or with a tape. It may perhaps even continue measuring your HR on that place.
So go out again and run the 8 miles again! Now!
It's gone so far beyond a joke it's funny at this stage. I tell you one thing I am shitting that I will have the same problem with the forerunner 645. If the 245 had garmin pay I'd of gone for that oved the worry about the bezel .
Couldnt even enjoy the stupid 8 miles knowing the watch was all over the shop 7.62 miles it can kiss my backside im selling it !!!!
