My steps count hasn't uploaded

Is there anyway to manually edit my steps count? 7000 plus steps have dissapeared from my steps count and it's gone down to 36 steps which was the step count at 4.00am

Also, my calories have not caluclated corrently. I did 6 hours of swimming today and the calory loss shows in each swim but the totaly calorie loss is way too low.

    No, there is not.

Please share the activity and post the link to it here. Please also attach a screenshot of the screen with the total calorie loss (not sure whether you meant the daily Calories, or the Activity Calories).

    Hi Trux,

First is a screenshot of today's activites. The walking I added manually.

Then I have my biggest activity. The calories are missing from the calory count. The total of 2,825 does not include the 1,688 from my big swim.

    Thank you!

  • Thanks for the screenshots, but if I should look at it, I'll need the share links to the activity, to investigate the details. The screenshots do not reveal much. For the daily Calories, the screenshot would be fine, but you have shown just the activity Calories screen, I believe. The Daily Calories screen for given day is what is needed.

BTW: 6 hours of swimming in one day? Respect! Aiming for the Channel Crossing?

I could be mixing up things, but I am 99% sure I read a post where the user claimed

to have sorted the steps via Garmin Support, linked with a watch crash

losing steps when you are on a goal is a disaster, like running into a brick wall

  • The screenshots and activity details are for the second issue with the Calories, though, not for the problem with steps. Those are unrelated topics, posted in one thread.

    Hi Trux,

I've worked out what happened as it happened again when I went to swim at the beginning of the week. The watch, fully charged switched to the signal showing it had no power and turned off. I had to turn it on again (I was about 60 metres into the sea) and although it worked and I was able to record a 3 hour swim I lost all my steps for that morning (close to 7000).

I'm swimming the Catalina Channel in California in October (34km). I'm on the waiting list for the English~ the backlog is super long now because of Corona Virus.
