Pairing with Phone does not work

Since yesterday the Bluetooth Connecticut with my Phone is not possible anymore.

I tried everything suggested (swiching devices off up to deinstalling the App) but nothing works. The app/phone can "see" the fenix 5s but not pair with it.

I would be very glad if you could help me solve the problem.

You need to initialize the pairing from the watch, not from the phone. Reread the installation instructions in the user manual for details

Yeah, I tried that already. Several times. But still it is not working.

Could you post a screenshot of Garmin Connect when you attempt initializing the pairing from the watch?

This is it. It does not ask for a Code to type in etc...it just says "not successfull". I re-tried it several times with no result.

Wasn't the watch previously paired with another phone? If so, remove the old pairing. Or perform a master reset of the watch. And try stopping any other Bluetooth devices that may be connected to the phone or to the watch, to exclude any interferrence.

Hello, Anna.

This issue happens with me if I do not upair the watch in bluetooth android menu. You have to release it from current bt connections. So, plz, go to android settings / connections / bluetooth, find your watch, click "settings" button and then "unpair". After that you will be able to connect the watch back. Don't forget to also initialize pairing at the watch itself as mentioned above ;)

I checked the version (19.10), and did a synchronization with garmin express via pc. No change. Then I deleted ALL Bluetooth connections, also the ones not in use at the moment (car, TV...) and again did a restart of both devices. Finally it works again!
