Fenix 6, finding connections "friends" via phone contacts

I think you are confusing two different things - Menu » Contacts serves to assign emergency contacts (you can use the phone's addressbook to assign them). Menu » Connections is designed for connecting friends. You can search them either through Facebook, Gmail, or with the help of GC user names.

I appreciate the response however no, this is not the case at all. I know the difference between emergency contacts and connections. My emergency contacts list come up just fine with every single person I have listed in my phone. It is literally just my normal phones list of contacts with an option to select the names. Going through the connections tab, it gives me 3 options to search: facebook, google, and "contacts" hence this screenshot showing the 3 available options. However, my issue comes from when I switch over to the contacts tab (orange binder looking photo)it comes up with only one person within my contacts that supposedly has a Garmin device connected to the Garmin Connect application. This is not true. I am searching for a different contact of mine who is connected to Garmin Connect via a Garmin device. This person is not showing up. I'm wondering if this has to do with Android and Apple having compatibility issues at this point.

Well, more people from your phone book may have a Garmin device, but are you sure they used the same email address for registering their Garmin Connect account as is at their name in your phone book (if you have their email address there at all)? And are you sure the Privacy settings in their GC profiles allow the visibility?

KNOW is a strong word. I only know to the extent that they have told me how they linked to the account. Perhaps I should have them dig into the information they gave me to be sure it's accurate.

If you want to connect someone specific, and do not know whether you have the right address in your phonebook, simply look them up by their user name - see the search function at the top of the screen.
