Hydration quick add not working without live connection - no network at office, hills or mid-ocean!

Add hydration needs a live network connection (wifi/mobile) which is not much use in areas with no coverage in the in my office at work, hills, or more particularly offshore and ocean sailing - is there any way to make it work without an active connection?

No, there is not. The data is stored on the server, so without an access to the server, there is no change. You can enter it later though, when you have the connection, though, if you really want to keep the records.
