I usually loose the phone connection a couple of times a day. Often my fault for having the phone and watch too far apart. My issue is the only way I have found to reconnect, is to power off my phone and then power it on again. Just firing up the Garmin App does not do it. The phone is an Android Moto 4G. I am currently running the 4.53 beta, but I had the same issue with 4.5 With my Edge 830, it just seems to reconnect once it is in range again.
