I have a Garmin S60 which doesn't ask which club used about one third of the time

I've reset the watch to factory default, reinstalled the Garmin apps, and tried turning stats off and then back on again, with no success. Suggestions on a fix? Is there a way to manually enter which club used when the watch doesn't ask?
