Runs are registering on watch but not on app?

Two runs now I've had one run with no laps and one with, however when syncing to app they are no registering as runs only steps? Really frustrating as I only use the watch to run!!

I know this sounds obvious but do you actually save the activity at the end?

Yes run is displayed on watch as normal, it's only when it shows on app, I've restored the watch today and will plug into laptop later. Will run again tomorrow and check it

You could import the activity manually from the activity list in web Connect if it doesn't sync.
