Activity won't sync to app

I've synced my watch to the app but it won't sync my activity.. It has synced the calories and steps etc but not the actual activity itself.. I've tried everything from resetting the watch, turning Bluetooth on and off and even reinstalling the app and the activity still won't sync

I can see the saved activity on my watch but won't come over on to the app.. Please help :(

  • What happens when you try importing the activity FIT file manually through https://connect.garmin.com/modern/import-data?

    Here the same problem with my vivomove style. Garmin is becoming really bad...

    Sadly I don't have a fix but I'm experiencing the same thing. Runs stopped syncing after April 14th. I've also tried everything stated above to no avail.....very disappointing. If anyone finds a fix - please post it!!!!

    Hello - I have the Forerunner 245 Music.After all of the steps I did yesterday (delete and reinstall the app on my iphone 6s), my run this morning did sync automatically. I was able to import all of my other runs manually using the instructions from trux. I was not able to import steps - is there a separate instruction for this?

  • Did you create a blank new account and are trying to import all the past history? If you logged into your original account, the old steps should be there, and the new ones would sync automatically.

    Hi - I actually used my existing account. The import seemed to just bring in the run/walk activity which is really the priority for me. The steps are acting the same way - data exists for today but there is a gap before that April 14 - May 6. I can live with this...thanks for your help!

    I was not able to import steps - is there a separate instruction for this?

    do not know how many historical data is stored on your watch type, but

    • you can import fit files from folders METRICS, MONITOR and SLEEP
    • in the same manner as activity fit files via Garmin Connect Web import

    1. sooooo depressing. same thing happened to me this morning. first time for me. 10km activity doesn't  to my phone app. but shows on the watch. however, steps and other stuff is recorded.
