Battery drain by garmin connect on Android 10 on Sony Xperia xz2 compact

Since upgrade to Android 10, each morning I see location icon constantly displayed in notifications bar and battery stats show up to 15% drain for garmin connect app. Only after I kill the app(App info -> force stop), the location icon disappear and no ongoing significant battery drain. Seems to me like a bug. I have not observed this with Android 9.

This is a user forum, so only those with the same problem would care, and it looks like nobody with the same problem dared to comment yet. If you want to report it to Garmin, use rather the contacts on Garmin's support website, or the email address shown on the page of GC Mobile in Google Play Store.
