Reply on Notifications not present

I got my new Garmin Venu today and have been trying to set it up, unfortunately I don't have the reply on my notifications??? I have looked on you tube and none the wise, I have an Oppo R17 Pro whicis running on Android 9, from what I understand it should be working based on those factors, have I don't something wrong? Perhaps disabled something that would allow the reply button to function? Tnks in advance

The reply is available for phone calls and for SMS notifications, and you have to have at least two predefined answers for each category in your settings. It won't work for notifications from Whatsup or from other applications. Also it won't work if the call or SMS notification is passed by another aapplication (i.e. TrueCaller and similar), and not directly by the OS.

Sorry I'm a bit out of date with this still lol OS? I have something that says ColorOS Version V6.0.1 is that what you mean?

OS = Operating System. In your case most probably Android.

Oh I wonder why it's not working then? Stupid question but does it make a difference if I'm not using factory keyboard on my phone?

As I wrote, there are several possibilities - either you do not have any predefined answers in the Garmin Connect settings, or the notification is not for a call or SMS, or the notiffication passes by another app (such as the mentioned TrueCaller).
