Current year summaries in Activity tab

Hi,

currently last 7 days, 4weeks and 1y are shown as summaries (for example cycling).

Why are you not bringing current year too (listed per month) ? Or from - to date  selection.

It is quite annoying to always sum it up extra.

Sports tracker solved it nicely,.

Thx a lot.

Tomas

  • Garmin Connect Mobile offers only some basic reports. For more detailed reports, and for customizable ones, check out the section Reports of Garmin Connect Web, and then especially the option "Progress Summary" where you can group the reports per calendar year, discipine, etc.

  • thx for fast reply trux, but honestly, in todays age, where everyone is using mobiles, going for a super simple selection to web page, log in and see dasboards???

I think show me "current year" is as basic as last 7 days.

I would expect better and more from Garmin.

I do not know if you are from Garmin, but if you are, would it be possible to make that suggestion?

    thx.

Just because today's phone all have web access, and most websites, GC Web including, are optimized for mobile phones, it actually has little sense developing full-featured applications, when all the fine functionality is accessible on the website with phones just fine. The app is good for basic operations, but I see no problem resorting to GC Web anytime I need something more special.

If you want to suggest some ideas of improvements to Garmin, contact the local support center, or write to the email address of the app developer shown in Google Play Store, or use this webform. This is a user forum platform, so meeting a Garmin employee is not too likely, though it can happen in some rare cases too.

  • and I am not even going to the detail a MOBILE Sportstracker app can do directly on the phone.

Without need of myself logging to web and use dashboards

does it mean Garmin does not know how to do?

  • does it mean Garmin does not know how to do?

No, it means they have other priorities. And since they offer the same functionality in a different way, adding it it to the phone app may not have as high priority as other tasks on their list.
