No exercise list in the Cardio training summary

After the last GCM app update to version 4.29 there is no list of exercises in the cardio training summary. Perhaps it's not the GCM app update issue but rather firmware update issue. Hard to say since both happened in the same time approx.

So far it was possible to see what exercises the training consisted of, how many repetitions were made in each series and what weight was used.

Now there is no such information. That's a shame.

Hi Garmin, Is there any solution to our problem while staying at home because of COVID 19 !!!

  • Use the web version instead, if you do not see some workouts with the phone app.

Yes, but where is the problem in GCM 4.29 or F6 FW 8.10???

  • It can happen that you do not see the workout in GCM, but you should still be able to see the exercise in the web version, and can upload it to the watch from there. If it does not upload immediately, when you use the "send to device" button, schedule the workout, and send it to the device again.

  • I don't think we understood each other. We are not talking about web service functionality but the GCM app functionality, that disappeared after the upgrade to 4.29.

Of course, you can see the completed Cardio workout from the website and there you can actually see a list of exercises that made up the workout.

And finally I don't know what you're thinking when you say that one "can upload workout to the watch". We're not talking about uploading a "TO DO" workout to the Watch at all, but about a summary of the "DONE" workout. There is no such option on the web service as uploading DONE WORKOUT to the watch. I.e. it is but within the framework of a simple synchronization mechanism watch <-> GCM <-> web service.

  • but about a summary of the "DONE" workout.

OK, I see now. Originally you wrote "there is no list of exercises in the cardio training summary", which is rather confusing and somehow does not fit at all with what you are telling now - that you miss a "done workout".

GCM and GCW is just a different interface to the same account, and the same data. Often, when some feature does not work from one of them (for whatever reason, let it be a temporary issue, a bug, or simply a missing functionality), you can still use the other interface to achieve what you need. When you told you could not see the exercises in your GCM, which is indeed a relatively common issue with GCM, not listting all workouts that are visible in GCW, I suggested using GCW instead, where you could still see all the workouts and upload them to the watch. You did not tell clearly enough that it is the performed activities (or the executed workouts) that you miss.

Maybe you should better explain what exactly you do not see and where. Are you missing the performed activities in the Activities list, in the Calendar, in a Training Plan, or somewhere else? You told "cardio training summary", but I am uncertain what it exactly means. Do you use a a Cardio training plan? Or is the the Cardio submenu of the Activities screen?

  • trux, as I understand it, you have not noticed any changes in the display of the summary of the performed Cardio workout after the last update. I think so based on your questions. Am I right? If this is the case so what do you care about? Everything is fine for you so let's leave it like that.

I don't know why you're asking me if "I'm missing the performed activities" (in the Activity list? in the Calendar? in a Training Plan or somewhere else?). I've never mentioned about missing activities. I have written about the fact that in the summary of a performed Cardio workout once there was a list of exercises performed, with the number of repetitions and the load applied, and after updating GCM to version 4.29 this list is not there (note that for each performed workout you have a summary that you can access in many different ways, e.g. from Calendar, from Activity List, from Training Plan, from My Day desktop). This list was editable, which allowed you to correct incorrectly calculated repetitions from your smartphone (which happens all the time), which was very convenient. With GCM 4.29 it is not possible anymore, which I consider to be a serious flaw and a reduction in application functionality.

And I'm really not interested in web service solutions, because the phone is always with me and this is the main tool people use. And once with this tool you could see a list of exercises you've done in your Cardio workout, and now you can't, which is incomprehensible to me.

I hope I've made myself quite clear.

  • OK, I was just trying to understand your problem and trying to help, but I see this was not what you are looking for, so I stop. Sorry for interferring.

  • Garmin, please restore the previous functionality of the GCM application, and don't make us log in to the Web site to see a list of exercises one has completed in a Cardio workout.
Until now (before updating to version 4.29) we were able to edit the list of performed exercises from a smartphone in the GCM application. It was so convenient. After updating to 4.29 we lost it.

    Garmin, please fix this.
