Alarm vibrate type edit?

Hi,

I'm a light sleeper and normally set my alarm clocks etc to the quietest setting as loud/aggressive noises wake me up really violently.

Trying my new Garmin (forerunner 735xt) alarm, I was surprised when they only offer 3 options: tone, vibrate, or both. And the vibrate setting is long, loud and aggressive and I wake up with a doubled heart rate because of it.

I was wondering whether there is a way (and if there isn't, whether they should make a way...) to edit the vibrate so it's shorter/quieter (like WhatsApp notifications allow you to do)?

  • Schedule a notification in Google Calendar (or Office 365 Calendar - whatever is linked to your GC account) for the desired time, and it will wake you up with a notification.

If the calendar function does not satisfy you for some reason, you can set up for example a scheduled email, or and SMS, or a notification from one of your apps, for the given time - there are plenty of applications or online services offering scheduled SMS, emails, etc.
