I see coming message on my Tactix, I scroll to ,, reply" position but when I push select button it takes me back to watch display, no ready answers list appears. When trying to reply by watch in the moment  I select reply option, phone screen lights and text window appears. In this moment notification disappear on watch completly. I use Xiomi redmi note 3. All possibile allowances are turned on.

  • Maybe you do not have any predefined answers in the device settings. Tap the watch icon at the top of GC Mobile » Text Responses » Respond to Messages

I got all default answers. In situation when somebody call and I choose not to answer but to send the message it works fine, i got 3 messages to choose.

  • Well, if the way described in the Tactix manual does not work, and no other Tactix user peeks in here, then I am afraid you'll have to contact your local Garmin support directly, and ask them for assistance.

I need to try again but after connecting watch to another phone, something different than xiomi or Huawei. Maybe it's fault of phone, some internal settings or software.

  • Yes, it's worth of trying. Also check whether the notification came really from SMS messaging, and was not forwarded by another application such as WhatsApp, or similar. Also make sure the SMS notifications do not pass through some spam filtering, true caller, or a safety software. All of that may disable the SMS replies from the watch.

Hi. Another question. When I use activity tracking and don't use GPS to track distance, can I set watch to track distance using accelerometer and just count steps ? At the moment without GPS I got 0 distance

Yes, you can use for example the Treadmill activity. You can calibrate the stride at the first run, and it then uses the stride length at the following activities to give you the distance. I guess it works perhaps in the same way also at the Indoors Run activity too, but unlike the treadmill activity, I did not test it, so cannot confirm.
