Why does my forerunner 735 turn off and then tell incorrect times?

Recently my watch has started turning itself off and then showing an incorrect time when i turn it back on.

I've manually set the time but would prefer it to automatically update when it synchronises with garmin connect on my P30 Pro.

Garmin watches (at least those with GPS) get their time from GPS satellites, hence it is enough to turn on an outdoor activity for a few seconds, waiting till the watch gets lock on them, and the exact time is set.

I do not know why your watch turns off, but one possibility is a drained battery, another one is a faulty unit. If the watch turns off with battery full, you may consider contacting the local support.
