Garmin connect new device setup stuck

I just got my second garmin device. I have a forerunner watch which is working with garmin connect however I'm not able to connect my new edge 530.

In the garmin connect app it doesn't progress past the starting setup page below. I've restarted both devices and disconnected my watch but it still isn't working. Any thoughts?

Did you start the pairing process from Edge too? Isn't Edge already paired to another phone?

I started the pairing but it did not progress past that page. It is a brand new edge device

Was this resolved? I am having the same issue.. with my new forerunner 245
