  1. I am running in my apartment during quarantine. I have GPS working but my watch will not calculate the distance. Any ideas?

How can you have it working in an appartment? GPS does not work indoors. Use indoors running or treadmill activity instead, without GPS.

Thanks trux. I will try this. GPS is actually working indoors, maybe because my apartment is exterior? The problem is that it cannot calculate the distance. The map produces wiggly lines all around the building.

Thanks again. I shall report back!

  • This is because the GPS isn't getting a proper lock. GPS is meant for outdoor use only.

No, it is not. It perhaps gets a signal from a satellite or two when you are close to the window, but it is not enough for sufficient accuracy to monitor your motion. And especially not in the moment you move away from the window.

Hm, not sure what I should imagine under an appartment that is exterior. Do you live in the fields with no roof whatsever? A tent?
