Steps 13,000+ lost and 2 walk activities lost I don't understand.

I hiked trails 1.6 miles and 2.0 miles I used  the Walk Activity. I tried syncing and thought it synced. I last looked at the Connect and it said I had 16,804 steps. This morning it says yesterday's steps was about 3,124 steps and no walking activities. I am so mad about this. What *** happened?

  • I tried constantly syncing after seeing my 3,124 steps.

That could be the culprit. You do not need to sync anything during an activity. By repeating it constantly, you perhaps got the device in some exceptional state.

However, it is indeed strange that both activities have the exact same distance. I'd recommend exporting them both in TCX format (see the menu after clicking the cogwheel symbol on the page of each respective activity), and then recalculating the distances with this tool: http://tcxtools.com/tcx/distance/

If it shows the same distances at both activities, then your watch was right afterall. If the tool show different distances for both activities, contact the Garmin Support.

I didn't do that. I synced a few times the day of last saw 16, 804. Next day said yesterday was 3,124. Then I synced and looked. Waited Synced and Looked so forth. Then tried to really to get it to sync (realizing it might not be syncing and it does not tell me), noticing it was NOT showing the full circle sync. Plugged it in and then it worked.

I am looking at Number of track-points: 877 vs Number of track-points: 1169. Guess I will contact support.
