Ability to track naps.

I've been a Garmin watch user for like 4 years now. One of the main reason why I gravitated to use these devices are because of their long better life and their standard and almost minimalist design. (Especially the vivomove series).

One thing I could never understand is how Garmin that makes watches strictly for fitness is unable to correct track sleep by also including nap tracking as well. If your someone who sleep multiple times a day to get their full 8 hours a day the sleep trying on this watch is basically useless and even for people who don't it's still going to be inaccurate for those cases where you would eventually that a nap some day. I can't how something like this has been left out. Is there any development that's going on to fix this issue?

  • Well, I do no naps, so am unable to test it, but you could try widening the pre-defined Sleep Time in Device Settings. Try setting it from 0:00 to 23:59, or from 12:00 to 11:59, perhaps it will then log even multiple sleep periods during the day.

Just make sure the change propagates to both sides (the watch and Garmin Connect User Settings in Device Settings). It happened to me already once, that I changed it on one side, and it got ovewritten back from the other side when syncing. I just do not remember which side I used.

Let us know if it works.
