Warranty on devices

I bought the device because of it being water resistant but as soon as it gets a little bit of water on the device it stops working. Is there a warranty to cover this

  • If you mean the touchscreen generating random touches when under shower, then probably not, but you can avoid it by setting up a hotkey for locking the screen while you are in shower, and then unlocking it, when no more needed.

You can also ask the retailer - he may be willing to exchange your device for another model, but it certainly also depends on how long you used the device, and whether it has some marks of use. Speak to them, they'll tell you better.

If the device stopped working completely after getting in contact with water, then the warranty should work. If the device stops working just when wet, then perhaps too, but it depends what exactly the effects are, and what the user manual tells about it. Without knowing the model, the effects of being wet, and other details, it is difficult to advise.
