What is the code to sync your watch to your phone?

You probably did not follow the installtion instructions for pairig your watch. For most models you do it from the watch or from Garmin Connect, not from the phone's Bluetooth screen. You better look up the installation procedure in the user manual of your watch.

Thanks for reply, I did it from garmin connect app and when I do it it comes up asking me to enter a code and it says code is usually 0000 or 1234. None of those codes work. I have followed the instructions from the manual of watch and it doesn't say a code anywhere.

Did you enter the pairing mode on the watch, just before or after you initialized the pairing from the Garmin Connect app, just like it is described in the user manual? I don't know your watch, but normally GC does not ask any code, when the watch is in the pairing mode. Perhaps it does on some models, but then the code should be displayed on the watch.

Do you mean you did, but it still did not work? Or did it work after you did? It is unclear to me whether your case can be considered as closed or not. If it helped, please confirm (verify) the answer that helped, so that other users looking up a solution for a similar problem, find it easier.

Can you post a screenshot where the app asks you to enter the code?

I just did a factory restore on the watch as it used to be paired with mg old iPhone. Once I did this and followed the same instructions it came up with the password code again but this time my watch produced the code. 

I suggest to others with similar issue to reset to factory settings and then pair. I used to have an iPhone and now I have the new s20 Samsung.
