Emergency contacts on vivoactive 4 wrong

Hi,

In Garmin connect I setup emergency contacts, initially I setup with specific contacts that I then removed and replaced with different contacts, in Garmin connect the selected contacts reflect correctly but in the watch it is still reflecting the old contacts, I've tried syncing with no luck.

Anyone else experianced this and solved it - even on different models?

  • I have the same problem on my Vivoactive 3s. I can't remove any of the contacts from my watch and changing the settings on the Garmin Connect App doesn't seem to work. I've tried syncing my watch with the App, but this has no effect on the emergency contact list. It's very annoying!

  • Can you please lists the steps that you are taking in an effort to remove your emergency contacts from your mobile app?  I will follow those steps and try to reproduce the issue that you're experiencing.  Screenshots or a screen record video would be helpful.

What specifically are you seeing when you try to remove the emergency contacts from your mobile app?

  • Hi Kevin,

Thank you for replying, I would love to help.

Below are two videos: one showing how I try to remove an emergency contact through the Garmin connect app and the other showing my emergency contacts on my Vivoactive 3s after syncing.

You can clearly see it has no effect. In fact you can still see some of my old contacts there that I tried to remove. And even one that's double, because I tried to remove him and then added him again.

I also think it's weird that the 'delete' option is separated from the 'edit emergency contacts' menu. And also that there's no option to delete contacts on the watch itself. I'm a UX designer myself and I can't believe someone designed something so confusing.

It really pains me, because I love a lot of what Garmin has to offer. But the app is just horrible to use in many ways.
