Forerunner activities still syncing even after removed from app

I have given my forerunner to my son. He has downloaded the garmin connect app on his phone and I removed the forerunner from my connect app.
However his activities are still syncing to my app and strava.

Did you remove the watch from the phone's bluetooth list of paired devices?
