Help with activity class

Former Member
Former Member

hi, I apologize for my English, I wanted to know if the "activity class" can be set on the application would also change the calories consumed during normal activities, or it only affects the calories of activities such as running, strengthening, cycling

  • The activity class has an impact on the calculation of the energy energy consumption for all activities, including those not registered

PS: please edit the thread title to something making more sense, like Activity Class and Calories, or similar

thanks, at the moment I'm sedentary but I'm going to start training in the weight room, 4-5 times a week ... should I leave a value of "0" or change?

  • You can adjust it whenever your situation changes

I don't understand why but used calories differently during the day?
Why does the activity class affect the calories burned when not exercising?
  • It is called Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis, abbreviated as NEAT Calories. Google up the details - there are plenty of documents about it.

I imagine the scheme found to enter the activity class, it refers to the actual training minutes .... over 1 hour of weight room, the actual will be 20-25 minutes

Does the activity class refer in any case to aerobic or even anaerobic training? (Bodybuilding)

  • Does the activity class refer in any case to aerobic or even anaerobic training?

Only inderectly. If you read the description of activity classes in your User Profile, it tells:

"Activity Class Chart provided by Firstbeat Technologies Ltd., portions of which are based on Jackson et al. Prediction of functional aerobic capacity without exercise testing. Medicine and Science in Sports & Exercise 22:863:870, 1990."

In other words, the descriptive table is based on aerobic training. For anaerobic training you would need to increase the class accordingly - if you need to know how much exactly, perhaps you can find some information at Firstbeat. Perhaps directly in the quoted document, there could be some information about anaerobic training too.
