Can I create a GOAL on my Vivo Smart HR+
Trux, Apologies for my questions. I'm not understanding your explanations and apparently have not ask the question correctly. I use my Garmin as a tool to stay fit and have for years. I'm 64 now, really the Challenges, Goals etc are fun but staying fit is my priority. Thanks for trying to explain
Thanks for trying to explain
Well, you wrote you want to stay fit, but you still dd not tell what goal you are asking about. There are plenty of goals available in Garmin Connect, and practically all of them serve the purpose of staying fit.
There are several types of goals you can set up, and some of them are automatic. An example of an atutomatic goal is the Daily Steps Goal that adjusts itself according to your daily average. If you want to change it, and set it to a fixed value instead, you can do it in the way I described in my first post: on Garmin Connect Web, go to the Device Settings (you have to click the symbol of the watch in the upper right corner of the screen, and click the link Device Setting near the picture of your watch). Once there, you have to select the tab User Settings just under the photo of your watch, and then you have to scroll down to the section Goals, where you can set three types of goals - Daily Steps, Daily Floors Climbed, and Weekly Intensity Minutes. Once adjusted to your liking, you have to save the changes by clicking the big blue button Save Settings at the bottom of the page.
Many other types of goals are available, as the user Cubby59 correctly mentioned, in the section Goals, though I did not have the feeling you meant those, and that's why I did not mention them. If I was wrong, then you can add a new goal after clicking the link + Create a New Goal at the top right edge of the table header.
And there are yet other goals in Garmin Connect, related to the fitness, too - the Weight Goal and the Hydration Goal. In the case you meant those, then you can adjust the Weight Goal on the Weight page, and the Hydration Daily Goal in User Settings.
Yes this explains it. I haven't used my fitness band to set goals. I have my step goal at 12,000 and have met it 34 days consecutively. We have 40 MPH winds today so more challenging. I prefer walking out doors. I live in the UP of Michigan. Had 4 shoulder revisions in the past 18 months Two on each side. January 9 got a Total Reverse Shoulder Replacement on right side I'm determined to do what I'm able but have restrictions for two more months Then Physical Therapy will conclude. I'm 64, retired as Admin Asst to Vice President of our Community College several yrs ago. I try to stay educated in the computer technology area but it's no longer the priority it was when working. I believe I'm finding my way around Garmin apps. For years I only tracked steps. In Jan had more time to explore. Thank you for your patients with an old lady!
I'm saving all the info you have sent and will refer back to it often I'm sure. Hoping our weather improves. I walked in a blizzard, rain storm, sleet and high winds this week. Enjoy your day, embrace the weekend and know you have helped me a great deal. With abundant gratitude and sincere thanks Cubby 59
