Same problem combined with vivo active 4 not connecting with my Samsung. It did for 2 months, and then I travelled outside my area, and it will not synch to phone, find my phone does not work,activities are not synching. It is almost like it does not see the satellites anymore and Bluetooth is defective.
The most likely reason is that the GPS did not work because your ephemeris data file expired or is damaged. Connect the watch with USB cable to the computer (or the ANT dongle if your device does not have USB connector), and check for updates with Garmin Express. You need doing it regularly - GPS cannot work reliably and quickly without fresh ephemeris data. Read more about it here:

When you wanted to start your running with GPS and the watch is searching for GPS you can select "adjustment". Then you can select GPS (off, only GPS, GPS+GLONASS or GPS +GALILEO). When you select the adjustment that you wanted to use manually, GPS is ready in a few seconds. It works!
