My phone is Samsung note 10+ (android 10)and Huawei mate 20 pro(android10). I use "fing  my phone" in watch  when screen off. Phone can't  ring.

Ps: I give Garmin's app all permissions and allow the app change  system set permission. But both is not work. App notifications work. I put app  into Samsung's sleep list.

Thank you for your reply... But this won't fix my problem , cause I have the app installed in just one phone.... Tried a lot of solutions, no luck.... Any other idea? I've already tried to revoke and assign all permissions, like camera and telephone, and so on... After the upgrade to Android 10, this functionality abruptly stopped.... Thank you!

make sure your app is alive. because android 10 will kill unuse app in background. So do you add garmin to do not "dead" list in battery set ?

Do you mean Optimize Battery usage? Yes, Connection is not optimizing battery usage, and did the same with Camera and Telephone apps and some other system services.... Didn't work.... Disappointed

  • You may want to try also the tip from the thread "Find my phone" stopped working

Oh, thank you for your reply.... I've already tried that tip, no success.... Thank you! I've tried to install the app in another device, with Android 8, but still no progress.... I'm thinking about the possibility of an app version's bug... I'm using version 4.30....

  • Works fine with v4.30 for me. Make sure the Bluetooth comunication works, and is not being shut down for example by battery optimizing features on the phone. Some tips from the Sync / Connection Troubleshooting Guide and from the thread Notifications may be applicable for your case too.

  • I also had the problem where the phone would beep if the app was active, but not otherwise. Connect had all app permissions, so it was quite a puzzler. Some of the settings mentioned in older articles didn't seem to exist anymore. This article led me in the right direction, but I wanted to share my specific steps for my ~2019 Android phone.

I selected settings >> apps >> Connect >> battery >> optimize battery usage.

Then, I had to choose "all" apps instead of "apps not optimized". Over 400 things showed up in this list, I scrolled way down to Connect, and un-selected this option for Connect. That was the magic setting to fix "find my phone" from my watch.

    Hi,

After an app update (available two and a half months ago, more or less)  my problem was solved... I reported the issue to the Garmin official email and have received some answers about the progress of the investigation ... Some time after this, a new version of the app was available to update, so fixed my problem.... Now, everything works fine....

Try to send them an email with as more information as you can ( including videos and prints) and I hope you will get it done...

    Good luck!
