FR620 can't press save on touch screen

Hi,

I have a sudden strange issue with my FR620. I can't save any activities. After a run, for example, when I press stop, the "save" option comes up, but when I press it, it goes to "discard" then when I press again, it goes to "settings" and stops and I can't press anything else.

I can touch the screen normally and flick between screens during activities etc. so it doesn't seem to be a touch screen issue. But I can't press "save". So, all my activities are in one long session running over days. I have to press the two left buttons together to get back to home screen.

I have tried hard/factory resets and just checked to see if there was a software update. This happened out of the blue and is driving me buts. Any advice?

Thank you.

perhaps your watch is in need of a screen calibration procedure ?

is for the Garmin 610, but should work for the 620

    from Google....Published on Jun 29, 2011
    1. power off the device.
    2. hold down the start/stop & power button at the same time.
    3. when the "software loader" screen appears, release the power button, but keep the start/stop button pressed.
    4. the splash page will appear, keep your finger on the start/stop.
    5. release once you see the calibration dot.

    or second procedure

        1. Turn the power off.
        2. Hold the run and connect button down.
3 Press the middle of the touchscreen.
        4. Press and release the power button. Keep everything else down.
        5. On the first beep let go of the run button.
        6. Second beep let go of the connect button.
        7. Third beep you can let go of the touch screen.
        8. You should see a message to 'press this dot'.
It will move around the screen maybe 100 times.
It's a lot. The watch will reset when you are done.

    added from fr610 procedure

Once the calibration screen is present, complete the calibration process by touching the dot with a stylus or other sufficiently accurate tool as it moves around the screen. It can be difficult to complete the screen calibration process by using your finger.

The device will finish powering on as usual once the calibration is complete.

    happy & safe sporting
