You are correct. Although the screen rotates to horizontal orientation, you'll see the running man constantly moving. I tested this on my iPad. Seems to be fine on the iOS platform. This might be fixed in the next release of GC Mobile Android, but can't confirm. You can always report this issue via the Garmin Support Center.
