Lost notifications on Vivosmart HR after upgrading Xiaomi Mi9T to Android 10 and MIUI 11.0.4

No more notifications on the Vivosmart HR after yesterday's night upgrade to MIUI 11.0.4 global with Android 10.

The phone is able to see the watch, GConnect sees it, configure it, stnc it, is able to "find" it with the find device option, music player controls are working and I see weather on the watch.

But no notifications at all from any app

That's really an issue, it was so nice working without take out the phone from pocket just to see a spam email or an unsolicited message.

Gconnect is the latest version available on Play store

Thankyou very much for your suggestions, but this is something from night to day. Didn't change any settings except for new phone firmware

Here is what worked for me. Delete the Vivosmart from paired devices in Bluetooth. Reset to default the Vivosmart and just choose the language. Vivosmart ask for install Connect app and put the watch in pairing mode. Then disinstall Connect, reboot phone and reinstall it, doing again all the stuff about the permissions and notifications. Then pair again the Vivosmart. You need to "lock" Connect task so it's not killed when in background.

Just pairing again the watch isn't enough

Everything is just as it was before but wtf... Now it's working again

That was too easy. After switching off the watch and put the phone in offline mode for the night, no more notifications. You have to open again manually Connect to connect the watch again, and then same as before. Will try to disinstall and reinstall and see if it works
