Steps in news

For more than a week i have not been able to see My steps or friends steps at the tab news->steps.. My girlfriend have the same issue and more of My connections.. The app has an error news fix.

Steps in News on GC Mobile work fine on my side, the app seems to be all right. Verify your privacy settings (and your gf too) - especially settings for Profile and for Activity

And can you see the steps of your connections on GC Web?

Non of us can see any steps of our own or connections since 31/1-2020. Both applies in app and web. So its is 100% a garmin issue.

Are you telling that you cannot see your own steps just in the Steps tab of the News screen, or you cannot see the step counts on the main screen too? If the later is true, then it means that your watch does not sync to the phone, and you should troubleshoot that first.

I can see my own steps on the main screen. I cannot see my steps in the step tap of news screen. not been able to a VERY long time. same issue goes for my other connections. i can see 6 of 19 connections daily steps. and they do walk and sync :)

The News Feed shows the steps of only the first 6 leading members of all your connections (just like the Weekly Leaderboard does), because at members with a huge number of connections, it would become totally useless, permanently being filled with hundreds or thousands of new items. The step items in the News Feed should correspond to the first 6 places on the Weekly Leaderboard, though it is possiblle the News Feed is based on a different base (perhaps the daily leaderboard).

In other words - this is not a bug, it is a feature
