Forerunner 35 laps problem

Former Member

why does my forerunner 35 stop recording laps after 50?

I went for a swim, and because it doesn't have a swim activity, I used the push button lap at every lap I did.

The problem was I did 70 laps but when I look now in my activity I can see just 50.

Is there another setting or something?

  • There is no setting. Apparently, there is a limit on number of laps.

annoyng is that when i was swimming i could tap all the laps.

I've tapped the 70'th lap, looked at the watch see how is saving the activity and then after a while when i tried to see min per laps, i realized that it saved only 50 laps.....

  • Forerunner 35 is really an old watch with very limited functionality and a small memory. Get something better, supporting swimming. I originally bought the FR35 too, because I was unsure whether I need a smartwatch and did not want to spend a fortune on it. However, after just two days, although I liked it, I saw that the limitations are too important, so I exchanged it for Garmin Instinct, that was only 40€ more expensive, but it is several levels better. I can only recommend it - an excellent low-cost watch, and not much worse than the (much more expensive) Fenix 5.
