Tried my new Edge 830 at the weekend. did a few jumps to test that functionality. See screen shots below for differnce in data. I would suggest mobile app has a bug as the web site looks more realistic for the little jumps I did.

first jump on this clip was recorded as about 10 - 12 ft
Yes, it is what I thought. I could barely imagine that even the smallest jump on a MTB could be as small as 2 or 3 feet.
they just need to check the maths on both and see which is right.
Of course, they need, but that's exactly the problem. The web app, the phone app, and the firmware are most likely being developped by three completely different teams. And even the individual apps are likely split in different parts, with different project managers. So if you do not telll them in which part the bug is, no team can be assigned directly for analyzing and fixing it, and it will take much longer to be addressed (if it happens at all).
By telling them clearly that they have a bug in the MTB Dynamics reports on Garmin Connect Web, where jump distances are being incorrectly converted from meters to feet, despite the values already being in feet, the chance that it gets fixed is slightly higher.
When reporting it, make sure that you describe the problem as brief and in the same time as precise and as clear, as you can. If you send them a page long email, without any clear and unambiguous description, the chance someone will bother reading it will be dim. I know it, I work in IT.
I'm a software developer by trade. I know all too well about bug reporting and repo steps! :o ;)
Had a few emails back and forth with Garmin yesterday. no actual confirmation back from them yet but this looks to be fixed when I checked this morning.

That was surprisingly fast. Congrats to the success!
Did you get this resolved? I had the same issue. it seems that the website is actually reporting meters but displaying feet. Example, my device and app says 21.3 ft. for a jump, the web site reports that as 6.47 ft, when it actually should report this as 6.47 metres. (6.47m = 21.3ft) Make sense?
To add, in your user account settings if you select metric or statute all is fine, but the problem comes if you choose Statute UK.

He wrote, he did. If you experience the same problem with another settings of units, contact the support exactly as Mad_Pierre did. In his case, the issue was fixed very quickly
To correct trux slightly: The issue actually "magically fixed itself" while Garmin support were still processing the red tape I had to go through to get them to look at it in detail!
I just checked and app and web are matching for me still BUT I am set to Statute.
Statute UK was not an option when I had the issue originally so I just tried: setting it to Statute UK gives the same problem as Former Member so looks like they have a bug with the new setting of Statute UK
