Garmin App and Garmin Instinct time zones don't agree

Recently traveled across international date line and my Garmin Instinct watch has adjusted via GPS and is showing the correct time, but the Garmin Connect App activities are off by a number of hours even after syncing with watch. I have disabled app and reloaded it and same result. My phone is on the correct time. How can I get Garmin Connect to adjust to my current time zone and match the watch?

  • Try restarting the app, or clearing its cache, or rebooting the phone

Have done all 3 and didn't help.  Only thing I noticed on the Garmin Connect version on my laptop (not the Android phone app) was a notice on the daily summary that there was a box next to the date saying there was a time change.  Plus, when I run a cursor through my heart rate recording it gives two times, one GMT + 0.7:00 and another that says GMT + 4.19.999999999982.  Uhhh, neither of them are correct.

  • The time, after the reset / reboot, will change only at new activities. The reset won't have any impact on the activities that were already synced before that. You have to edit them and modify the time as needed.

Buggy program.  It has been almost 3 days and a dozen syncs, 4 deletes of the app and reloads, and mobile app still recorded steps and heart rate 10-12 hrs off the real time, taking me into tomorrow.  The Garmin Connect on Windows has finally stopped recording steps and heartrate, stopping at midnight.  The cursor still reads two times, GMT + 07:00 and GMT + 2.12.00000000001.
