My Garmin Vivomove HR isn't saving my tracked activity

My Garmin Vivomove HR isn't saving my tracked activity to the Connect App even though I can view it on the watch under the folder icon in settings.

I tried plugging in my watch to sync to the desktop app but that doesn't work either.

I tried also checking the GARMIN/ACTIVITY folder and there are no FITFILES saved for that activity.

I do not want to enter it in manually as I have spent a lot of money on a watch to do that for me.

I have a friend that has the exact same issue so I am assuming this is a software issue.
