Hard to tell. It could be because of a multitude of reasons. Corrupt or incompatible file, full memory, defectuos hardware, connection failure, or simply software bug or anothe problem. However, the first thing I would do, would be asking the author of the Gimporter widget (a 3rd party plugin, not Garmin product) - he should know the best, or be capable of analyzing it, or testing on his side.
If the developer claims it broke after the firmware update, then you have no other choice than waiting till they fix it, either on one side or the other (or both). Is there no other way to import routes - for example in FIT format? Or using Garmin Explore?
I have found solution. Not the easiest, but OK.
Miraculously via garmin connect mobile android app :)
