Shoes Trail and Asphalt

How could I assign a different team to each activity to detect it automatically? Whenever I do Trail, I am assigned asphalt shoes or viceversa. Thanks.

    Currently you have to do it manually, unless you are able writing your own script for assigning it.

    It was asked a lot of times, and most probably Garmin will pay attention if enough user request it on https://www.garmin.com/en-US/forms/ideas/
    Share it with them, ask it as a new feature.

    Agreed! I've been doing it manually since day 1 over 15 years worth of manual entries. Originally, before Garmin had acquired motionbased, gear was not even an option, so I manually entered my shoes in the comments.Laughing

    I agree with this request.  I have multiple shoes that I use for different activities.  I would like for Garmin Connect users to be able to select a Trail Run from their Garmin device and automatically assign trail running shoes.  Conversely, if a user wants to select a normal road run from their device, the user's road shoes will automatically be assigned to that run.  The same for Hikes, Walks, Crossfit, etc.  Each different Profile can have a specific gear load associated with it.  Right now, specifically for running activities, I can only assign one or all running shoes for just one generic running activity.  Please add this feature so we won't have to manually go back and change what gear was used when we select a trail run but have our road shoes set as default.  Thank you!
