Hi Trux, Thank you for your suggestions. I have tried going through disconnection of bluetooth re-pairing the FR35 to my phone and no luck. It is as if the connect app doesn't see the run I did today. It synch's but does not update any data.  The zip file I was referring to was some sort of Fixtools file which I am not going to try as I have no Garmin programs on my computer in the first place. Anyway, I'm waiting to see if Garmin calls me back.  Thank you for your time.

I know the answer, but let you the hope.

As for the synchronization - when you start the sync process, on the Garmin Connect Mobile app, there is an icon of your watch at the top, and when the sync begins, there is a partial white circle around it. Does it completely close at the end of the sync, or is it interrupted before it completes?

BTW, I would really advice you following all the tips in the troubleshooting guides I posted, not just the first one. If you ever manage to speak to someone from Garmin, they will let you doing it anyway. When nothing else, I would really install Garmin Express on your PC or Mac, and try the sync through the USB cable.

So I got a call back. The service rep. was really good. I now have the Garmin Connect on my computer. I was able to send him the file which turned out to be corrupt. GPS had me jumping all over the west coast and out in the ocean, and the file could not be repaired. We deleted files on my FR 35 since all past stuff is saved on my phone and on the web. Over writing files could be the problem. Good thing is I'm good to go at least until next time. Thanks for your advice.

  • Nice! And good for Garmin support that they called you back. I did not even expect that. Looks like  was exactly right about the watch being choked up with FIT files. You might consider upvoting his post, so that it is marked for other users with similar problems in future.
