Whatsapp Notifications

For a few weeks now I have not received any vibration or notification from Whatsapp on my Vivoactive 3 Music. Only when I look at the notifications does it appear. With Telegram and other messengers, the watch vibrates and shows the notification directly.

  • Did you check notofication settings and permissions at both applications (Garmin Connect and WhatsUp) in Android settings >> Apps?

    Yes, the settings are the same as for Telegram and the forwarding to the clock works there

  • Check also Garmin Connect settings:

    1. GC >> Settings >> Messages >> Android Notification should be on
    2. GC >> Settings >> Smart Notifications >> WhatsApp must be on too

    Try turning on all notification instead of calls and texts in the GC app - tap on device icon at the top - sound and alerts - phone notification - show all notification

  • I managed to block WhatsApp on my Fenix 6 Sapphire and it no longer came up on my watch.
    To fix I uninstalled Garmin Connect AND on the android phone bluetooth settings, forget this device.

    Once I reinstalled GC and went through the pairing process again it has come back.
