Training run completed, then watch froze and steps were recorded, but not run. How can i fix this?

I am doing a 1/2 marathon training plan. I completed an eight-mile run. The watch froze when I indicated how challenging the run had been. After I restarted the watch, the steps were recorded, but not the run data. Is there anyway to get that data back? This is really frustrating.

    not knowing what device you have you could scan your device with a recovery program like Recuva or Bitwar

    run the file you find through Fit File Tool's section remover

    import this fit file manual from within Garmin Connect Web

    when this fails

    with your consent we can have a look at your file with FitFileRepairTool

    zip the fit file and upload here in the forum, or provide a link to it on a cloud storage
