Forerunner 35 does not reconnect with Galaxy A50 (Pie) after losing connection

My Wife is having trouble with her Garmin Forerunner 35 Watch in combination with her new Phone.

Recently she got an Samsung Galaxy A50 with Android 9 (Pie), before that she had an Galaxy A5 (2017) with Android 8.0 (Oreo) and everthing worked flawless, and she was super happy with her Garmin and the Connect-App.

But now with the new phone we are having strange problems, after the watch gets out of the Bluetooth reach, it wont connect again with the phone (App shows no connection/no dot)

Connection can only be restored by decoupling the phone and watch and recouple them via the bluetooth settings of the phone. Bluetooth off and back on doesn't do the trick.

As my wife did the first coupling between the two devices I decided to decouple them, deinstall the connect app and set the watch back to factory status.

Then I installed the app new and recoupled the phone and watch as discribed by the manual trough the app. Worked fine, untill the watch gets out of reach and wont reconnect.

So I thought maybe the watch is missing some rights, so I manually gave all the rights to it, that are avaliable in the android menu. But no change.

The watch just wohnt reconnect, which is very frustating, as therefor her messages wont come through and the watch gets mostly useless for her needs.

So maybe someone knows a possible setting that I'm missing or has some workarround?

Best regards, Christian
