Error when setting up Garmin Pay

I just recently purchased the new Vivoactive 4s, I have set up everything okay but Garmin Pay is giving the message "Error: we're having trouble connecting to our servers". It's been 2 days now and is very frustrating. I have uninstalled the app, cleared the cache, checked permissions, restarted the phone and watch. My bank is covered in Garmin Pay however the error message is coming up as I try to accept the T&Cs so I can't even make it far enough in to select my card or anything. Any help appreciated!
