Activity fails to sync over 4G connection

My Garmin devices (fenix 3 and Edge 520) no longer automatically sync to Garmin Connect Android after saving an activity. This seems to be a problem with the 4G connection on my phone, as when my phone connects to wifi they sync successfully.

Steps and other metrics sync whether my phone is on 4G or wifi, just recorded activities limited to wifi only.
