Vivoactive 4 on android notifications not showing

Just a day ago i bought a Vivoactive 4 . Connected well to the android app. the notifications suddenly stopped working. Did a data delete and reset on the watch . Deleted the app from the app from the phone , restarted phone , reinstalled app. The notifications were working fine, until suddenly they stopped woking.

I did the above procedure 5 times now, every time after a while the notifications just stop working and the notifications sections on the watch says no notifications, while there are continuous whats app messages , emails , and messages that have been on my phone.

I am using a one plus 6 android phone.

Any help would be great to resolve the issue.

Try modifying "battery optimizations" for the Garmin Connect app. See https://oneplus.gadgethacks.com/how-to/disable-setting-if-notifications-are-delayed-your-oneplus-0192639/ as an example. Basically, you'll need to allow Garmin Connect app all the battery it needs (turn OFF all optimizations for the app) or your notifications won't work after a while.

Turner off all optimization for the app. On my samsung A5 android

Messages came back, but stopped again after a while

Why can i only see the messages when stolling on watch?
