Garmin Pay suddenly not working

Hi All, 

i have been using Garmin VIVO Active 3 for over a year, no major problem so far. And it works with my Garmin Pay as well. But for some reason, the card gone missing last week, so i try to add it back and it won't allow me to add back as well. On the Garmin Pay page (on the apps), it said connect your watch via bluetooth and try to add the card again, but the thing is.. have already connected and when i returned to the main Garmin Connect page (it is also stated Garmin connected)... 

Anybody having the same issue? 

My phone is Samsung S10.

    I just went through the process of Opening a Sterling Bank Account (one of the few banks that support Garmin Pay), entered all my card details.  When I select wallet on the phone, it states "wallet Empty"..... My card is still reg'd on the Connect App, and I've sync'ed loads of times, but there still seems to be some kind of issue.

  • I am having the same issue.  I had the card on the watch and then it was removed for some reason.  I have tried to reinstall the card twice.  Garmin Connect shows that the card is active but the watch shows wallet is empty. 

  • I have the same problem. 2 days ago all of my 3 defined cards dissappeared. My friend has the same problem on her FR945. I think it a global problem.

    My phone is Huawei Mate 10 Pro and my friend Huawei P20 

  • There are lots of threads about this after Connect version 4.23 in the VA3 sub-forum.

    For me, deleting the app cache, uninstalling and reinstalling a later (4.24) version of Android Connect fixed my Garmin Pay issues.

  • Reinstalling Garmin Connect get's all my cards back to my Garmin Pay wallet. But after that incident all pay terminals can't detect my watch, so I unable to pay with my watch now:( Is you watch still able to pay at the stores?

  • yes, the wallet was empty on my 945 (and in connect) and after I added them back, they showed up on my watch and I was able to use both of them. one I used at the gas pump and another I used at a grocery poc terminal.

  • Do you add all cards again, or cards was just shown after reinstalling Garmin Connect? All my cards are in place, but I can't pay using my watch:( Maybe I need to delete all cards and add them again? I have no idea how to get Garmin Pay to work again...

  • Do you just delete cache and reinstall application and get your cards back? Or your wallet was empty and you add them again?

  • I just deleted the app an reinstalled 4.24.2 to get the halloween-badge but with this cleared version I have exactly the same issue as the original thread-author. So my wallet is empty and cant add a card because I should connect my watch over bluetooth. 

    Any news for this case?

  • The first thing I did was to delete my wallet completely. Then I deleted the app cache. Then I uninstalled the app and reinstalled. Since I left the data, all my devices and history were still there when I reinstalled.

    Here, in Canada, there's only one credit card that's compatible with Garmin Pay so setting it up from scratch wasn't too onerous.
