Active calorie count all wrong

Hi,

I am a novice for activity tracker, Garmin Forerunner245 is my first.

For first two days calories counter seemed to work fine. Yesterday I went for a run and tried activity tracker. Since then the active calories counter seemed to go haywire. Without any kind of activity it shows my active calories as 1924. How can it be corrected?

  • yesterday I have de same problem !!!

  • Active Calories are not Calories from Activities! Active Calories are any Calories burned over the RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) during the day, regardless whether you record any activity or not. And they are measured with the help of the heart rate monitor, using also the average resting HR and resting VO₂ for the calculation. So if your active Calories for a certain date are unusually high, then check out your HR graph, and the Resting HR average for given day.

  • yes I'm understand that, I check my HR graphic but for yesterday Is to high 1680 (active) and 1842(rest), total = 3.532 !!

I only due strength workout and burned 505c, after maintenance connect active i check and I think its double my data !!

i want they fixe that  !!

  • i want they fixe that

Fix what? 1842 kcal RMR is perfectly OK for an average adult, and 1680 active kcal is nothing exceptional either. If your HR is high and/or the RHR low, the Calories will be high. Post screenshots of the screens Health » Calories and Health » Heartrate with the weekly data - it may reveal the reason.

  • hi, rigth !

here is print from Monday when a abnormal HR when I sit in computer !

if my high active cal is because of peek at 16 hr and 19/20 hr is wrong read from Garmin fr 245 !!! at that time I'm seat in office do computer work and later in my house at my living room watchTV

obs: at same day we have maintenance of Garmin Connect.

here is a print from Saturday when a i run on treadmil

for more data accuracy for your analysis I have 168cm heigh and 62 KG.

    thanks for you attention !

  • The reason of the high number of Calories for that day is clear - the elevated HR during most of the day.

If you think the HR data is wrong, have a look at the Support document The Heart Rate Sensor on My Watch Is Not Accurate, it may help you understanding why it happened.
