On my vivoactive 4 I can go into Garmin connect and select a notification privacy control so that only the name of the sender And the app will be visible on my watch. The actual contents of the message will not be displayed. But that setting turns off once I save it and exit out of the app. I called tech support two weeks ago and the support person replicated the issue on an Android phone. He then tried it on an iPhone And the notification privacy setting worked. He said he would create a ticket for it. I haven't heard anything back since. This is a pretty big issue for me and I'm considering returning the watch if the setting isn't fixed on Android phones.
