Personal best times not counting because course was 5m short!

Hi guys. I did a pb of 25:08 or something in a 5km but the course was maybe 5m short now I did accidentally pause the Garmin. In first 50m because I thought I forgot to put it on. I unpaused it and kept going. My watch won't acknowledge it as a pb time. It was 5m short! Anyone know how to put it as a pb? Maybe I'm being pretty because I just got 20seconds over that pb. But I really want my pb to be my true pb. I think 5m short should count? I had a course 200m short count on my Garmin before (not was my first 10k so pb because it was my first time). Thanks guys

  • In Garmin Connect you can manually assign an activity as a personal best. Then you can send the record to your device.

  • Hiya. I'm on the activity. I tried to see if I can add it to pb that way but won't let me. I have manually updated my personal bests (after my most recent run event). But it won't let me use this one e(see picture) when manually trying to update it. How do you manually choose a specific run? It was outside so no way I could change the distance. And I paused it for a second. I went to activities all running and the option for the fastest run won't come up  as you can see I was 3m shy  not sure why it wouldn't count it  like it would be an extra 10 seconds tops  I could try best it in a park run but so many park runs are also a few metres short

  • I don't use the mobile app that much, so not sure how to do it in the mobile app, but just go the Garmin Connect website, open the activity, and when you click the small cog icon in the upper right corner, there you'll find "Set as PR".
